Eternal Haunt™ is a first-person survival horror game set in Muromachi Period of Japan. Follow the old man, Kiyoshi, through a snowstorm to find his missing grandson, Mosaku at an abandoned hut. What he once perceived as a sanctuary from the biting cold ultimately transformed into his worst nightmare. Imprisoned in this frozen nightmare, he's relentlessly pursued by the chilling spectre of Yuki-Onna, the resident demon spirit.
As a UI Designer, I designed and documented each concept and implemented the front-end, HUD and various UI elements for Eternal Haunt™. From wireframes to mock-up versions, I explored options to help envision the ideas, gain alignment and also drive the decision-making. My efforts also extended to supporting the branding design for the logo and crafting engaging UI components for the Steam page.
I collaborated closely with the Art Director, Game Director, Programmer, and 3D Modeler to ensure that our concepts seamlessly aligned with the style guide and elevated the overall design.
I conducted a thorough analysis of the game's user interface (UI) and presented strategic improvements designed to elevate the overall gaming experience. My proposals are designed to elevate usability while seamlessly integrating the UI's visual aesthetics into the game world, making it feel like a natural extension of the experience.
